Two-screen television receiver
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a slave screen without deterioration of picture quality by writing a 2nd video signal in a frame memory in a noninterlace way and reading out the signal while applying interlace conversion so as to obtain correct sequence with respect to a 1st video signal. CONSTITUTION:A video SVm for master screen is fed to an input terminal 1 and a video signal SVs for slave screen is fed to an input terminal 3. The video signal SVs is written and read to/from a frame memory 7 and the write/ readout are controlled asynchronously. A thinning means 5 thins the signal so that the video sigal SVs is written in the frame memory 7 in a noninterlace way, the written video signal SVs is read by using a faster clock than that at write and the time axis is compressed. A field decision means 15 decides the field of a video signal SVm, and a readout control circuit 16 reads the signal based on the result of field decision so that the video signal SVs is in the correct interlace sequence with respect to the video signal SVm while applying interlace conversion.
