Method of controlling air conditioner

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enable a flat efficiency characteristic to be attained in respect to an operating frequency by a method wherein during a normal operation, if an operating frequency to cause a normal operating efficiency to be equal to a releasing operating efficiency, a refrigerant volume controlling circuit is operated to change the operation from its normal operation to the releasing operation. CONSTITUTION:If efficiency of a capability variable compressor 1 accompanying with a reduction in operating frequency reaches a time when an efficiency at a normal operating frequency HZn is inverted against another efficiency of an operating frequency HZn' in releasing operation capable of getting the same freezing capability Qn as the former, for example, it reaches HZ2, a valve device 7 arranged in the refrigerant circulation volume control circuit is closed to cause a valve device 9 to be opened. A part of the refrigerant gas within a cylinder is guided to a suction side, resulting in providing a releasing operation and then the frequency is shifted to an operating frequency HZ2' during its releasing operation to get an efficiency Q2' of the normal operating frequency HZ2.
