Recording and reproducing device and solid-state memory pack

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To load both packs by providing a pack loading part o be able to load selectively a magnetic recording and housing pack and a solid-state memory pack and providing a head invading part, a rotation driving body invading part and an electric connecting part at the solid-state memory pack. CONSTITUTION:When a solid-state memory pack 3 is inserted from the inserting port of a recording and reproducing device along an arrow B from the tip surface to provide an electric connecting part 6, after the pack 3 arrives at a position 3A, it descends in the direction of an arrow C, is abutted onto a motor 11 for driving a disk and stopped. In this condition, the electric connecting part 6 of the pack 3 is connected to an electric connecting part 7A provided on the magnetic disk driving device. When the pack 3 is loaded, a rotating driving body and a magnetic head invade respectively into invading parts 4 and 5 of the pack 3. On the other hand, when a magnetic recording medium housing pack is loaded to a pack loading part, since an electric connecting part is not provided, the electric connection is not executed.
