Abstract

Abstract NEW MATERIAL: Compd. of formula I {wherein R is H a (substd.) 1-8C alkyl, formula II (wherein a and a' are each H, halogen, OH, etc.), formula III (wherein Z is O and S; m is 0 and 1), a heteroarylmethyl of R 1 -CH 2 - [wherein R 1 a (substd.) thienyl, furyl, etc.], etc.; n is 1 and 2; R 1 is a (substd.) 1-6C alkyl, a 2-6C alkenyl, a 3-7C cycloalkyl, a (substd.) phenyl, etc.; R 2 is H, a carboxy- protective group, an ester-formable group}. EXAMPLE: 7β-[2-(2-aminothizole-4-yl)-2-(Z)-methoxyimino-acetoamide]-3- methylsulfonyl-1-carba(1-dithia)-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid. USE: A therapeutic agent for infectious diseases. PROCESS: A compd. of formula IV (wherein R 0 is amino) is N-acylated and if necessary, deesterification and releasing of the protective group are performed. COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO
