Direct positive type silver halide photographic sensitive material
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To increase the max. optical density of the photosensitive material, and to decrease the min. optical density of said material by incorporating a silver halide emulsion having plural kinds of mean particle sizes in each colored layers of a blue, a green and a red photosensitive layers in a prescribed weight ratio, and a spectral sensitizing dye shown by a prescribed formula in the each colored layers, respectively. CONSTITUTION:The blue, green and red photosensitive layers contain the plural kinds of silver halide emulsions having different kinds of the mean particle sizes respectively, and the mean particle sizes of the particles contd. in each photosensitive layers satisfy the interrelationship shown by the formula 1.6<=L/S wherein S is the mean particle size of the min. silver halide emulsion, L is the mean particle size of the max. silver halide particle, respectively. And, the wt. ratio P of the mean particle size of the min. silver halide emulsions contd. in each photosensitive layers to the total wt. of silver halide is shown as follows, namely, in the blue photosensitive layer, P8<=50%, in the green photosensitive layer, PG<=40%, and in the red photosensitive layer, PR<=40%. At least one kind of the spectral sensitizing dyes shown by formulas I, II and III is incorporated in each layers of the blue, the green and the red photosensitive layers, respectively. Thus, the good image quality of the photosensitive material in which the max. optical density is sufficiently increased, and the min. optical density is sufficiently decreased, is obtd.
