Output power control device of internal combustion engine

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent generation of torque shock in an arrangement where a variable capacity compressor is driven by an engine by setting the increment of the engine output torque in accordance with the load torque of compressor and the revolving speed of the engine. CONSTITUTION:In an output control device for internal combustion engine in which a variable capacity compressor 20 with swinging plate is driven by the power of engine 1 through a belt 23 etc., the degree of opening of an aux. air amount control valve 19 is controlled by an ECU 5 in accordance with the engine operating condition, while the engine 1 is in operation. The fuel injection time is calculated in accordance alike with the engine operating condition so as to control drive of a fuel injection valve 6. The degree of opening of the aux. air amount control valve 19 is incrementally corrected while the compressor 20 is in operation, so as to increase the output torque of the engine, wherein the increment of the output shall be set according to the output of a load torque sensing means (stroke sensor 31, discharge pressure switches 32, 33) and an engine rotation sensor 11.
