5-amino-1-phenylpyrazoles

Abstract

Abstract NEW MATERIAL: A compound of formula I [wherein R 1 is H or an alkyl; R 2 is H, NO 2 , hydroxycarbonyl or the like; R 3 and R 4 are each H, an alkyl, an alkenyl, an alkynyl, a halogenoalkyl, C(-X)-R 5 (wherein X is O or S; R 5 is H, an alkyl, an alkenyl, a halogenoalkyl, an alkoxyalkyl, an alkylthioalkyl, an aryl, an alkoxyl or the like) or the like]. EXAMPLE: 5-Amino-4-ethoxycarbonyl-1-(2,4-dichloro-3,5,6-trifluorophenyl)pyrazole. USE: A herbicide. PREPARATION: For example, 2,4-dichloro-3,5,6-trifluorophenylhydrazine of formula II is reacted with an acrylonitrile derivative of formula III (wherein R 2-2 is NO 2 or an alkoxycarbonyl), and the obtained compound of formula IV (wherein Z is formula V) is cyclized to obtain a compound of the formula I (wherein R 2 =R 2-2 , and R 3 =R 4 =H).
