Preparation of cycloalkeno(b)pyridine derivative
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To improve the yield of the subject compound by catalytically reacting a cycloalkanone with an allyl alcohol and ammonia in a specific ratio when the subject compound useful as a raw material for drugs and plastics is obtained by reacting the starting raw materials in the presence of a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A cycloalkanone of formula I (A is 3-10C alkylene which may have one or more 1-8C saturated hydrocarbon groups) and an allyl alcohol of formula II (R1, R2 and R3 are H or 1-3C hydrocarbon groups) are catalytically reacted with each other in a molar ratio of >=2, preferably >=3 in the case of a silica alumina catalyst, which ammonia in an amount of >= a stoichiometric mol, preferably >=5mol per mol of the compound of formula I in a gaseous phase at 250-500 deg.C to provide a compound of formula III. The reaction can be performed in the presence of a catalyst prepared by compounding the silica alumina with the oxide and/or halide of a metal element selected from zinc, chromium, tin, etc., as the other method.
