Polymer casing having surface changed into texture and manufacture thereof

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To mold a film having a smooth surface by forming the film on a form, and then immediately treating it in a high temperature. CONSTITUTION: A form is dipped in a polyurethane solution in a water miscible solvent. The form is withdrawn from the solution, and a thin liquid film is formed on an exterior of the form. Then, before the film is solidified, a liquid which is miscible with the solvent in the film and does not dissolve the polyurethane resin is applied in a high humidity state (directly sprayed as fine mist). After drying, the formed film is removed from the form to obtain a uniform and smooth film. This molding method is suitable for molding a condom, a finger stall, gloves or the like.
