Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain effective information at the time of a fault by providing an area recording the number of continuously occurred times when the same information have continuously occurred apart from an area recording trace information being information of a communication procedure. CONSTITUTION:A trace pointer 1 shows the address of a trace area for recording trace information (command string 3 and response string 4) next. Trace information (command string 3 and response string 4) are compared with preceding trace information (command string 3 and response string 4) which the trace pointer 1 shows when trace information is recorded in the trace area. When they coincide, a preceding retry counter 2 which the trace pointer 1 shows is incremented. When they do not coincide, trace information (command string 3 and response string 4) is recorded in the trace area which the trace pointer 1 shows, '1' is set in the retry counter and the subsequent address of the trace area is set in the trace pointer 1. Thus, effective information can be obtained at the time of the fault.
