Fireproof expansion joint

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To readily provide a high-performance fire resistant expansion joint by connecting a flexible fire resistant sheet to spaced sections via mounting flanges mounted on sides thereof, and bearing an elastic, fire resistant, heat insulating member on the fire resistant sheet. CONSTITUTION: Mounting flanges 50 are mounted on the side edge sections of a flexible fires resistant sheet 40 and connected to the isolated sections 12, 16 of a building. The fire resistant sheet 40 is curved in its cross direction and an elastic, a fire resistant, a heat insulating member 42 is borne on the fire resistant sheet 40. The fire resistant sheet 40 and the fire resistant heat insulating member 42 are made of inorganic fire resistant fibers. A high- performance fire resistant expansion joint can thus be formed rapidly.
