Falling preventing device of cable connector

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the falling of a plug by providing a bilateral pair of latches so as to be rotatable in the internal and external directions, and giving the oscillating pieces of the latches such a rotating force as turning their front parts inward. CONSTITUTION:The rear part 30a of an oscillating piece 30 is swelled slightly backward of the outside, and on the front end of the oscillating piece 30, a hook 31 facing inside which is protruded slightly ahead of a case 22 and engaged with the engaging channel 6 of a plug receiver 1 is provided. In both latches 26, the both hooks 31 are energized in the mutually approaching direction by the elasticity of both thin elastic pieces 29 whose inner ends are made in force contact with each other. When a plug 21 is connected to the plug receiver 1, the angle part of each fixture 5 in the plug receiver 1 pushes open each oscillating piece 30 of the both latches 26 in the plug 21 against the thin elastic pieces 29, and each hook 31 is engaged with the engaging channel 6 over the angle part of the fixture 26. Hence, the falling of the plug 21 can be prevented.
