Reverse-osmosis separation membrane treating device
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain the subject relatively compact and inexpensive device as a whole by forming a deaeration membrane with at least a porous backing layer and a polymeric homogeneous layer or dense layer provided on the backing layer, and arranging the membrane and the reverse-osmosis membrane in series. CONSTITUTION:A reverse-osmosis separation membrane module 5 (e.g., a cellulose acetate-based asymmetric membrane is used as the reverse-osmosis membrane) and a deaeration membrane module 6 are provided in series in a line for water to be treated. The deaeration membrane of the module 6 consists of at least the porous backing layer 2 (made of polyester, for example) and the polymeric homogeneous layer or dense layer 1 provided on the layer 2. A polymer having >=1X10<-8> (cm<3>, cm/cm<2>.cmHg.sec) oxygen permeation coefficient PO2 is preferably used as the material for the polymeric homogeneous layer or dense layer, and cross-linked polydimethylsiloxane is most preferably used. As a result, the relatively compact and inexpensive device can be obtained as a whole.
