Method for picking of air jet type loom

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To carry out accurate and optimum picking even if the kind of yarn is changed by operating a position setter for a group of auxiliary nozzles according to the kind of weft yarns and approaching or separating the above- mentioned auxiliary nozzles relatively to a weft yarn guide passage so as to fly the weft yarn to a desired position. CONSTITUTION:A weft yarn 6 jetted from a main nozzle 5 into a weft yarn guide passage 4 is picked with jetted air from plural auxiliary nozzles 10 for successively jetting the air by a relay method. In the process, a feed screw 12 is previously rotated by revolution of a motor 13 according to the kind of weft yarn 6 to vertically move a sliding piece (7a) of a linear bearing 7 and determine the optimum positions of the auxiliary nozzles 10 mounted through a beam 8 on a directional line approaching or separating relatively to the above-mentioned weft yarn guide passage 4. Air pressure fed to the auxiliary nozzles 10 for flying the weft yarn 6 to a desired position is set prior to the picking.
