Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To simplify the construction of a driving circuit by a method wherein an angle of the center line of each stator pole to the center line of a pole tooth near to it out of pole teeth of a rotor pole opposite to said pole and an angle of an adjacent stator pole to the rotor pole are formed under specified conditions. CONSTITUTION:A stator 10 is provided with six magnetic poles 11-1 to 11-6 and these poles are provided at an equal pitch. Pole teeth of the same pitch with that of pole teeth of a rotor pole 13 are provided in the fore ends of the magnetic poles 11-1 to 11-6 respectively, while an angle alpha formed by the center line in each stator pole and the center line of the pole tooth near to it out of the pole teeth of the rotor pole 13 opposite to the pole is set to be 0<=alpha<360 deg./Z. Besides, an angle thetar formed by an adjacent stator pole and the rotor pole 13 is set to be thetar=120 deg./Z. By changing a winding method of stator windings 12-1 to 12-6 under the conditions specified in this way, systems of driving by three lead wires, bipolar driving by six lead wires and unipolar driving by nine lead wires can be effected and the construction of a driving circuit can be simplified.
