Polyester film and use and production thereof

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a surface-coated polyester film having a coating layer containing a salt of basic compound of polysiloxane graft polymer and having excellent heat resistance, slippery properties, releasable properties, water repellency and migration resistance. CONSTITUTION:A coating agent containing aqueous dispersions of basic compound salt of a polysiloxane graft polymer obtained by stirring a liquid solution obtained by adding a basic compound and water to a solution of polymer obtained by polymerizing a monomer mixture consisting of 0.05-10wt.% polymerizable silane compound, 1-30wt.% unsaturated organic acid and 40-97.95wt.% other polymerizable monomer copolymerizable with the above- mentioned monomer in the presence of 1-20wt.% terminal hydroxyl group- containing polysiloxane in an organic solvent other than alcohol is applied to the at least one side of a polyester film. When a water soluble resin is added to the above-mentioned coating agent, film-forming properties, wet properties, adhesion, etc., of the aqueous disperses can be further enhanced.
