Electrophoretic display device and its manufacture
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To easily and securely inject a dispersion system into respective holes by making a porous spacer of a swelling member and constituting one electrode plate flexibly. CONSTITUTION:An end part sealing member 5 and the swelling porous spacer 12 where the dispersion system is divided into small sections and charged are arranged on the top surface of the rigid electrode plate having a necessary electrode pattern 11. The flexible electrode plate made of a film base material 13 which has an electrode pattern 14 on the opposite surface from the electrode pattern 11 is arranged on the top surface of the swelling porous spacer 12. Then the flexible electrode plate presses out an excessive dispersion system 7, which is supplied excessively into the respective holes of the swelling porous spacer 12, while brought into contact with the spacer 12 by making a pressing force operate on the top surface of the flexible electrode plate. Consequently, the dispersion system 7 is charged completely in the respective holes of the swelling porous spacer 12 without leaving any empty hole.
