Production of bulky woven and knit fabric

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain bulky woven and knitted fabric having excellent tone of spun yarn cloth by blending and interlacing water-soluble multifilament yarn with thermoplastic multifilament yarn to give conjugate yarn of double-layer structure, weaving and knitting the conjugate yarn and then treating the woven and knit fabric with an aqueous solution. CONSTITUTION:Conjugate yarn of double-layer structure mainly consisting water-soluble multifilament yarn as a core part and thermoplastic multifilament yarn as a sheath part is formed by blending and interlacing by the above- mentioned yarns. The conjugate yarn is partially or wholly used, woven and knitted to make woven and knit fabric and the woven and knit fabric is treated in an aqueous solution to dissolve and remove the water-soluble multifilament yarn.
