Picture data extractor

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To correctly obtain picture data related to an entry frame by specifying the periphery of the outside of a character as a chromatic color inhibited area and erasing a chromatic color part existing in this chromatic color inhibited area out of an extracted chromatic color part. CONSTITUTION:The title device is equipped with a chromatic color inhibited area specifying means 7 to specify the peripheral part of the contour of the character extracted in a color identifying part 5 as the chromatic color inhibited area and an erasing means 8 to erase the chromatic color part existing in this chromatic color inhibited area out of the picture data of the extracted chromatic color part. Consequently, even when color slurring occurs in reading a picture, it is eliminated that a chromatic color to generate in a character periphery, etc., is extracted as the entry frame. Thus, the picture data related to the entry frame can be correctly obtained.
