Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To change over a cut-off frequency by forming a superconduction thin film pattern and a metallic thin film pattern onto a substrate overlappingly. CONSTITUTION:The superconduction thin film pattern 4 and the metallic thin film pattern 3 of two kinds of band rejection filters with a different cut-off frequency are formed on the substrate overlappingly. The cut-off frequency of the band pass filter depends normally on the band rejection filter pattern 4 made of a superconducting material but when a magnetic field over the critical magnetic field is applied to the superconducting pattern 4 by using a magnetic field application device 7 and a magnetic field application controller 8, the superconducting state is destroyed and the superconducting pattern 4 is equivalent to a dielectric thin film with the same thickness. As a result, it is equivalent to the case where only the metallic thin film pattern 3 exists on the surface of the substrate and it is possible to switch the cut-off frequency of the band rejection filter freely.
