Program coupling control system

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve the operability and the execution performance by setting the entrance name of a branch destination module and a storage library name to a relay code and omitting designation of a library at the time of executing a program. CONSTITUTION:An entrance name B of another module 24 to which a module 22 is branched at the time of coupling and the name or the discrimination name of a library where the module 24 is stored are set and recorded in a relay code 23 in a load module 21. In the module 21, the branch destination of a program P22 is externally referred with the entrance name B of the relay code 23, and the control is transferred to the relay code 23 when a branch connection instruction BALR is executed. At this time, the entrance name and the name or the discrimination name of the library recorded in the module 21 are used to load the module 24 from a file to a main storage. Thus, the library is immediately retrieved at the time of executing branch and it is unnecessary to designate the library, and therefore, the operability and the execution performance are improved.
