Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To realize a highly precise delay line which is made into IC by correcting the dispersion of the delay time of an inverter string, which is caused by an operation temperature, an operation voltage and the dispersion at the time of manufacture by means of a PLL control circuit in which crystal oscillation is set to be reference. CONSTITUTION:The conventional signal delay function of an LC constitution delay line is substituted by the inverter string 8. Since the signal delay time of respective inverters is controlled by the operation peripheral temperature, the operation voltage and the dispersion on manufacture, the delay time is corrected by the PLL control circuit consisting of a liquid crystal oscillation circuit 1, a frequency division circuit 2, a phase comparator 3, a low pass filter 4, an output variable type constant voltage source 5 and a programmable frequency divider 7, and a ring oscillator 6. Since the ring oscillator 6 performs highly stable oscillation based on the oscillation of the liquid crystal oscillation circuit 1, the signal delay time of the inverter string 8 is similarly set with high stability.
