Diode laser excitation laser oscillation device
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To stabilize a laser ray output by a method wherein the output power of a laser diode is controlled according to the light volume of the laser diode, and a cooling temperature is controlled so as to make laser rays passing through a detecting medium, which is the same as a laser medium in composition, minimum in volume. CONSTITUTION:A part of diode laser rays 2 is ramified through a beam splitter 2 and made to pass through a wavelength detecting medium 21 whose composition is the same as that of a laser medium. Passing laser rays 2' are detected by a phototransistor 24 and a cooler 7 is controlled so as to make the detected light volume minimum through an automatic wavelength controller 25 and an automatic temperature controller 23. On the other hand, when the output power of a laser diode 1 varies, an automatic power controller 11 controls a current which is supplied to the laser diode 1 as receiving an electric signal from a photodetector 9 to keep the output power of the laser diode 1 maximum. By these processes, stable laser rays maximum in an output can be obtained.
