Method of transferring irregular pattern and transfer sheet used for said method

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To form a sharp and beautiful three-dimensional pattern excellent in durability and decorativeness easily by forming a protective layer and a color pattern layer sequentially on the peelable surface of an ionizing radiation transmitting sheet and composing the protective layer of an ionizing radiation curing resin which takes solid state under uncured condition. CONSTITUTION: A transfer sheet 1 is superposed tightly on a basic material 7 to be transferred through an ionizing radiation curing resin 6. When it is irradiated with ionizing radiation from the side of an ionizing radiation transmitting sheet, i.e., the basic material of the transfer sheet, the resin layer 6 is cured at a part where an ionizing radiation shielding pattern 5 is not present and thereby the basic material 7 to be transferred, resin part of the resin layer 6, a protective layer 3 and a colored pattern layer 4 are cured integrally. The resin layer 6 is left in uncured state at a part where the pattern 5 is present. When the sheet 2 is peeled off after irradiation, uncured resin of the resin layer 6 is removed to leave a recess 9 where a small quantity of uncured ionizing radiation curing resin 6a is left and a protrusion 10 composed of cured ionizing radiation curing resin thus producing a body 11 to which a pattern of protrusion and recess is transferred.
