Sealing film for liquid crystal cell
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To eliminate stain and to improve reliability by sticking two sheets of thermoplastic resin films to both faces of a self-adhesive layer constituted of an org. binder, a curable compsn. essentially composed of a curable resin and a spacer. CONSTITUTION:Two sheets of the thermoplastic resin films 12a, 12b are stuck to both faces of the self-adhesive layer 11 which consists of the org. binder, the curable compsn. essentially composed of the curable resin and the spacer and is formed to the shape of the sealing part of a liquid crystal cell. The curable compsn. which constitutes of the self-adhesive layer 11 consists of the component compsn. which is essentially composed of the curable resin and is compounded with a hardener, etc. For example, alumina powder of a unified grain size, glass fibers, etc., are incorporated as the spacer therein. Polyethylene terephthalate films are more preferable in terms of characteristics as the thermoplastic resin films to be stuck to both faces of the self-adhesive layer. The reliability is thereby improved with the simple stage without staining the peripheral member to be sealed.
