Abstract 881,928. Flight training apparatus. MECCANICA VERGHERA S.p.A. M. V. June 24, 1959 [May 8, 1959], No. 21732/59. Class 4. A training device for pilots of helicopters comprises a complete helicopter 1 provided at its base with a cylindrical pillar 2 telescopically mounted in a housing 3 forming part of a float or pontoon 4. The float is supported in a tank 6 containing water and it is anchored to the bottom of the tank by chains 7 so that the hovering height of the helicopter may be restricted. A lake or other natural water source may be used instead of the tank.
