Abstract 508,673. Dowels or sockets. STANLEY, W. March 14, 1939, No. 8130. [Class 89 (ii)] A dowel 11 or socket 12 for use with coacting parts of a wooden moulding pattern or the like has longitudinal grooves 15 and circumferential V-shape grooves 14. The grooves 15 may be slightly helical and the grooves 14 have one wall 16 substantially at right angles to the axis of the dowel or socket to assist retention. The grooves 14 may be parts of a coarse spiral groove.
