Abstract

Abstract 344,686. Fluid-actuated valves. HESSELMAN, K. J. E., Saltsj÷-Storõngen, Sweden. March 28, 1930, No. 9949. Convention date, April 22, 1929. [Class 135.] Check loose ball valves.- A non-return valve particularly adapted for use in connection with fuel pumps for internal-combustion engines comprises a ball 7 pressed into engagement with a conical seat 6, formed at one end of a bore in a member 2, by a helical spring 11. The bore at the end remote from the valve seat is reduced in diameter to provide a guide for the loading spring while at the same time is made large enough to permit the insertion of the ball.
