[Class 38 (v).] In a burglar alarm of the kind wherein an electric switch is placed under a carpet, the upper contacts 5, 7, 9 are normally held apart from the lower contacts 6, 8, 10 by means of an insulating layer 1 of porous rubber sponge attached to covering layers of rubber or rubberized fabric.
