S t a t i c contact rectifiers, arrangements of.-A rectifier of the metal oxide type is made up in the form of a cartridge comprising a cylindrical insulating casing 8 having end contacts 9 of the interengaging plug and socket type. Connection with the A.C. supply is made by means of a plug element 12, the D.C. load circuit being connected to a socket element 10. The rectifier elements within the casing 8 may be connected in series or, in order that both half waves of the A.C. may be utilized, they may be arranged in the form of a bridge or Grõtz connection.
