Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 5
Claim 1
Independent Claim 182 words
A graphic display arrangement for overlapping images; comprising in combination: a display screen divided into a matrix of display elements (pixels), during normal operation each of said display elements utilized to display the image having a first illumination state, all other display elements having a background illumination state, 4 GB 2 141 908 A 4 an addressable multiple storage location digital memory with each of said display elements being associated with a unique storage location, said memory being adapted for storing with a digital word at a location having a first value specifying that the associated display element will have said background illumination state and a second value specifying that the associated display element have said first illumination state, first control circuitry for selectively reading data from said addressable multiple storage location digital memory to generate a raster scan display video signal; coupling circuitry for coupling said video signal to said display screens to display a selected image; second control circuitry for selectively changing the binary value of digital words stored in said digital memory to relocate selected portions of said image.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 182 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 25 words
An arrangement in accordance with claim 1 wherein to each storage location in said digital memory has the capacity to store a multi-bit digital word.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 37 words
An arrangement in accordance with claim 2 wherein a digital word having a value of zero stored at a specific location specifies ihat the associated pixel in the final display will have a background illumination state. '
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 79 words
An arrangement in accordance with claim 2 or 3 wherein a digital word having a non-zero value stored at a location in said digital memory specifies that the associated pixel in the final display will be illuminated to display a portion of an image. Printed in the United Kingdom for Her Majesty's Stationery Office, Demand No. 8818935, 111985. Contractor's Code No. 6378.
