Improvements in combined step mat and scraper for motor cars and the like
Abstract
Abstract 171,908. Coan, R. W. Dec. 1, 1920. Mats, &c.-Relates to combined step mat and scraper fixed to the landing-board of a motor-car &c. A metal frame f, Fig. 1, preferably of aluminium, is divided into three sections, the centre section forming a flanged frame to hold a mat whilst the side sections b, b<1> have inverted V-shaped bars e form foot scrapers. The bars may run at any angle and are about half the depth of the frame sides, thus leaving a space h, Fig. 3, to receive dirt or mud. In the vertical side of the back ends, openings o are formed, so that the dirt can be washed out without removing the frame.
