Abstract
Abstract 166,323. Christie, D. April 8, 1920. Artificial bait.-A bait for sea fishing is made of tube rubber in the shape of an eel. A head is, preferably, formed by coiling silk within the rubber tube, making a dark circle on each side, and slipping over a small rubber tube J, having an opening K on each side to form eyes C. A hook E passes through the head and neck and protrudes through a slit on the underside of the bait A and is attached to a gut F, which extends from the mouth G and is provided with a catch H for attachment to the line. The Provisional Specification states also that the bait may represent a small fish.
