A vehicle crash barrier comprises a rigid hollow rail 1 secured to supports 3 on relatively weak H- section posts 2, the hollow rail 1, Fig. 1 (not shown), consisting of a corrugated strip (12) welded to a flanged channel (11). In a modification a rail is mounted on each side of the posts, the two rails being connected by spacers intermediate of the posts.
