Abstract
Abstract 106,933. Dansk Jernbetonkonstruktions Co. Danalith Aktieselskab. June 20, 1916, [Convention date]. Cooling-towers.-In enclosed towers, a floor a of reinforced concrete, arranged above the usual grid-work d, receives the hot water to be cooled from a central pipe c. The floor is provided with a large number of outlet openings or pipes h, Fig. III., the upper ends of which may be vertically adjustable to regulate the flow of the water, and with large openings f to permit of the upward passage of air. These openings f are protected by annular walls g, which may be of reinforced concrete and set by cement to such a position as to prevent an undue accumulation of water above the floor. The outlet pipes h deliver the water on to splash plates i, Fig. III.
