Abstract
Abstract The invention relates to novel metal-iodide light sources associated with plastic fibre-optic cables. These sources consist of lamps with high efficiency and high colour temperature, as well as various optical, electrical and mechanical devices intended greatly to improve the luminous efficiency and the thermal behaviour at the end of the plastic fibre-optic cables. The equipment according to the invention is particularly intended for lighting by plastic optical fibres.
