Abstract

Abstract The invention relates to a method based on an electronic set-up (circuit) allowing the fitting of a television peripheral socket for a television receiver without such a socket so as to allow its connection with an external source which may for example be a microcomputer, a video recorder or even a CANAL PLUS decoder. This electronic set-up (circuit) has the advantage of being economical and relatively simple to employ. Indeed, the function of the proposed electronic set-up (circuit) consists in injecting the RGB signals and moreover in reinjecting the audio and video signals emitted by (coming from) the teleceiver. This electronic set-up (circuit) will be connected up to the circuit of the television receiver at five specific points: the AUDIO, VIDEO outputs and the BLUE, GREEN and RED chroma pre-amps. In the event of plugging in a CANAL PLUS decoder, only the AUDIO and VIDEO outputs will be connected up (the other three points remaining unused). This arises from the fact that the CANAL PLUS decoder serves to decode the audio and video signals.
