Abstract

Abstract The safety device comprises a circuit breaker 1 equipped with a solenoid valve 6 to 10 operating on direct current and with an electronic circuit 6 to 10 for transforming, into direct current, an alternating current 12 sent by a central safety unit 2 when, and only when, certain conditions are fulfilled. These conditions are interpreted at the central safety unit 2 by coded signals originating from a control member 3 which is advantageously in the form of a numerical keyboard. The circuit breaker 1 being mounted between the tank and the supply pump of the engine of a vehicle, the device constitutes a practically tamperproof anti-theft device.
