Surveillance system for operation of a line comprising a plurality of stations, station equipment and display for this system
Abstract
Abstract Each vehicle 100 transmits to a central station 200 information relating to its position on the line, obtained, for example, by means of a coder 110 recording the distance covered by the vehicle. On the basis of this information, the processor 230 of the central station determines, for each of the vehicles, whether the latter is keeping to its schedule, or whether it is ahead of or behind it. The time deviation information from the set of vehicles of the line are next retransmitted to each of the stations 300, where they are displayed on a display 340 indicating the situation of the vehicles on the line to the users. The processor 320 of each station also works out information on mean waiting time 350 and on relative position 360 of the next vehicle up the line from the station.
