Process for depositing a protective coating on metal articles
Abstract
Abstract Process for depositing a coating for protection against corrosion on articles made of metal which corrodes rapidly, such as magnesium or one of its alloys. The objective of the invention is to cover the articles to be protected with a coating obtained by a process comprising two main treatment stages: a first stage of deposition of a first metal layer by a method other than the electrochemical method, followed by a second stage of deposition by immersion in a bath of tin, tin alloy or a metal which has equivalent physicochemical properties, supplemented by a centrifugal remelting. The invention applies especially to articles of small or intermediate dimensions which must have conductive surfaces and which can accept brazing.
