Abstract
Abstract The device 1 picks up the data from a metal wire 11 using eddy currents; it comprises two metallic windings 3, 4 with identical properties, at least as regards inductance, ohmic resistance and temperature, which are supplied with a high frequency alternating current, the windings being connected differentially in a measuring circuit; one of the windings acts as an electric coil for picking up data by eddy currents and the other is for impedance compensation.
