Plate for locating the centre of gravity
Abstract
Abstract The invention relates to a stabiloscope, a medical apparatus intended to locate the vertical projection of the centre of gravity of a patient onto the plane on which his feet bear. The modifications are noted by observing, through a transparent oscillating support plate, the movements of a ball situated in a spherical cap integral with the latter. The plate rests on a pneumatic suspension whose pressure can be altered. Two moving plates and two balancing axles, controlled by the displacement of a rail, make it possible, either for the plate to be locked in a horizontal position, or to allow its lateral balancing, or completely to free it. The dimensions of the apparatus are the following: length 73 cm, width 51 cm, height 17 cm, rail at 1 m.
