Connector for tubular scaffolding - uses annular link collars surrounding vertical tubes to receive ends of horizontal tubes
Abstract
Abstract The scaffolding comprises horizontal (2) and vertical (1) tubes interconnected by links which incorporate a cup (3) presenting an annular base (4) and an upper collar (5) of greater diameter. The base and collar are joined by four angular arms (6) which contain holes (9). The upper surface of the collar carries ridged segments (8) between which the ends (11) of the horizontal tubes locate. Each end carries a downwardly directed section (13) which locates into the cup and is supported by the base (4). The section is held against the vertical tube by a pin (16) which bears against the collar and passes through one of the holes.
