Frame for rigidly holding printed circuit cards in prodn. treatments - has parallel cross-members, within rigid frame, each having mutually facing rims on which boards are supported in soldering tanks
Abstract
Abstract The circuit boards are held in an aluminium frame with a rim. Two tubes, one at each side of the frame, form pivots for rectangular-section supporting bars. The bars and additional supporting blocks may be slid along the tubes and blocked according to the size of the circuit card. U-section clamp arms hold the boards flat firmly in position, locking into the support arms with clasps. The clamp arms have a series of curved notches which, in position, lie adjacent to holes in the support arm shoulders to allow flow of defluxing fluid or cleaning solvent around the components. Metal pivot tubes and support arms are made from chrome stainless steel to avoid intake of solder.
