Abstract

Abstract The instrument comprises a cup (1) in which slides a plunger (4). The cup extends into an axial tube at the distal end (3). A curved nozzle (12) is attached to the end of the tube to enable the casting material to be applied between the teeth and around the gum surfaces. The nozzle may be screwed onto the end of the tube or may be attached by a bayonet fitting. The casting material, which is pref. a silicone mixture, is forced through the nozzle by pushing the axial shaft of the plunger into the cup.
