Abstract
Abstract The liq. level gauge comprises a guide tube which is mounted onto a base and sealed for attachment to the reservoir. A float slides on the outside of the tube and is coupled magnetically to the cursor on a potentiometer. The cursor moves over the potentiometer which has several successive contacts between which resistors are connected. A metallised contact strip provides a common contact. The liquid being measured penetrates holes in a protective tube to activate the float. This action integrates rough movement of the liquid.
