Adjustable bicycle saddle support - has mating spherical faces allowing turning and tilting
Abstract
Abstract The support accommodates a saddle with frame on the top part of a bicycle saddle tube. It has a supporting member (2) fixed to the top of the saddle tube (1), with a bore (23) running between its top and bottom surfaces (21,22), the top surface being spherical around the bore. A clamping device bearing against the top surface secures the saddle frame, having a mounting portion (3) against which a holder (4) is pressed by a locking member (5) securing it to the member. The mounting portion has a lower face (31) bearing against the member top surface, and a top face opposite (32) the holder, while the holder passes through its centre, and its bottom face is spherical to fit against the spherical face of the member.
