Abstract
Abstract The seat belt for a vehicle is suspended between an anchorage attached near the roof of the vehicle and an inertia reel near the floor, and has a buckle which can slide loosely along it. The buckle is retained in a readily accessible position along the belt by a stop (8) incorporated with the belt. This top consists of a stud (9) with a domed head which locks into a washer (11). The stud has a stem (10) with a bulbous tip (12) which locks into the hole through the washer. Both parts are of injection moulded plastics.
