THREE-DIMENSIONAL WEAVING PROCESS AND MACHINE FOR THE REALIZATION OF HOLLOW REVOLUTIONS WOVEN REINFORCEMENTS
Abstract
Abstract Translated from French L'invention concerne les structures tissées creuses. The invention relates to hollow woven structures. It relates to a method and a machine making it possible to produce hollow reinforcements of revolution by weaving in three dimensions of rods 11, of circumferential wires 12 and of radial wires 13. In the network of rods 11 rotated around the axis 16 are introduced and woven the threads 12 and 13, the latter being knitted by a needle 28 in the form of a chain, and the helical layers of threads thus formed, resting on a plate 20 driven by a progressive downward movement, slide along the rods 11 and are compressed by fingers 30 surmounted by a pressure plate 38. Application to the production of woven reinforcements of complex shape for hollow bodies of revolution made of plastic.
