Abstract

Abstract The scotch for a lorry has an end ramp (3) which is placed under the wheel. Rollers (4, 4a) work in conjunction with the ramp. Underneath, there are anchor points (11) for the wedge to the ground. These anchor points can be placed under the scotch at the end remote from the ramp itself. The rollers, which press on the wheel are staggered according to their distance from the ramp. Teh ramp forms the first method of stopping. If this is not enough, the rollers take part, in turn.
